*********** AVAILABLE FOR DEMO ********* MOONDROP Dawn Pro is a "dongle-DAC" - a compact unit in aluminum with a smooth anodized matte finish. On one side of the device are the volume control buttons, which allow you to adjust the volume at the hardware level, rather than on your smartphone or source. Unlike the previous Dawn model, the Dawn Pro comes with a detachable USB-C cable, providing improved longevity and customization options. On the underside of the device are 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced headphone jacks. Internally, the Dawn Pro uses dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chips, supporting up to 32/384Hz and DSD512. Moondrop dongles usually perform well when it comes to numbers and the Dawn Pro keeps this tradition going. Despite the low price, the Dawn Pro provides excellent sound quality. The sound signature is relatively neutral but the Dawn Pro also contributes with a little extra energy in the delivery and a broadened soundstage. which gives the music a little extra strength and power. "While the Dawn Pro may look unassuming, it does quite a bit for your sound signature, injecting energy into the delivery and expanding the soundscape. And while it may be ambitious to pair this little DAC with a higher impedance headphone, it's perfect for IEMs that are both super sensitive as well as for those that are slightly tougher to drive. The lack of MQA support is a shame, but if you're not a Tidal listener, whether you're looking for an entry level DAC that actually affects the sound signature or just something simple to replace your crappy dongle, the Dawn Pro is a great choice for the price point."
