Atrium uses a reworked and improved driver of biocellulose (compared to Auteur and Eikon). Improvements include more powerful N52 magnets and reduced distortion. Above all, the patent-pending Atrium Damping System is used here. This design, together with the largest grilles to date on a ZMF, helps make the Atrium the most open headphones in ZMF's range. This process yields a stiff driver that delivers ultra fast, planar-like sound, with dynamic punch and natural timbre. Side porting The Vérité utilizes side porting for added 3 dimensionality in the acoustic image. This new design provides a natural, deep, rounded stage, without accentuating any single dimension. Lightweight chassi Our new Magnesium chassis reduces weight by 33 grams per headphone, allowing us to offer our lightest design to date, at approximately 430 grams. Angled driver By angling the driver slightly outwards (away from the ear) we increase natural resonances for a more “room” like sound. This carefully-tuned angle allows the Vérité to combine dimensionality, speed and decay for a true “audio Vérité” experience. Different metal details We also now have Rose Gold and Copper for the grille and rods, in addition to Black, Polished Stainless steel and Brass. The Copper is polished and left untreated, so it will gather a beautiful patina over time. Standard wood Silk wood (albizia) is the current stock wood for the Vérité. Silk is ultra light weight, adds nice decay to the super fast Vérité driver, and shows a glowing iridescence that plays with any luminescence bestowed upon it. Vegan options? But let me put this headphone into context given the current state of the market. The Susvara costs 6k, the Utopia costs 3k, the Emperyean 3k, The LCD-4 4k and so on with other headphones. Having heard most of them, I would pick the Verite and it still comes under the price of the rest, making it money better spent for even better technicalities than most of them all while providing an easier and less quirky listen. I could go into what I like and don’t like about all of these other different headphones costing over 2k but I will just say that the Verite, with its own coloration like all the others, is still easier to get along with and commits way less sins of omission if any at all.", Earphiles (July 2019) "While Vérité does put a bit of its own signature on the music, after extended listening sessions I felt like it was definitely a worthy one, as it is both exciting and won't tire you out.
