Audalytic DR70 is an advanced network DAC and streamer that combines discrete R2R technology with modern digital functionality in a compact and integrated format. It is developed for audiophiles looking for a complete digital source with a focus on musicality, precision and flexibility, without the need for multiple separate components. At the heart of it is a discrete R2R ladder for PCM signals, which provides a natural and organic sound reproduction with high detail and fine tonal balance. For DSD material, a separate 1-bit conversion is used that preserves the original structure of the signal without converting it to PCM.
The DR70 uses advanced signal processing based on FPGA and a high-precision clock to minimize jitter and ensure precise timing. This contributes to a stable and focused sound image with good separation between instruments and a clear stereo image. The design is optimized for low noise and high signal purity, with carefully designed internal architecture to keep interference and interference between sections to a minimum.
As a network player, the DR70 offers broad compatibility with modern streaming protocols and can be integrated into systems via Ethernet. It supports several different playback solutions and acts as a flexible digital hub in a HiFi system. In addition to network connectivity, there is also support for multiple digital inputs such as USB, coaxial, optical and Bluetooth, making it easy to connect different types of sources. The device handles high-resolution formats and offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs that can be used in parallel, which provides great freedom in system construction.
In terms of sound, the Audalytic DR70 is characterized by a balanced character with a slightly warm tone, where voices are reproduced naturally and instruments have a realistic sound. It offers an open and airy presentation with good dynamics and clear structure in the sound image. The R2R technology contributes to a more analog feel compared to many traditional DAC solutions, with a relaxed but at the same time detailed reproduction that works well across different types of music.
In summary, the Audalytic DR70 is a versatile and high-performance digital source that combines DAC and streamer in one unit, making it a strong solution for those who want a compact but capable hub in their HiFi system.
Is a really good match with the
Audalytic HP70.

"A New Best Buy in R2R DACs! Gustard Audalytic DR70 Review"
Tharbamar video review (Dec 2025)
"I'll say this. GUSTARD clearly knows digital, how to exploit discrete R2R for a very vivid sound and make that matter in a 399EUR DAC with analog volume and basic streamer. This becomes even more potent when strapped to the matching 349EUR active preamp with discrete R2R volume.
That's ideally considered a twofer. But no matter how I dice it, Audalytic's bijou twins are a genuine discovery worth making some noise about."
