From a manufacturing base in Kimbolton, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, AVID products are designed and constructed for a world market. AVID engineering expertise is respected globally. Our precision and accuracy extend to every aspect of our business, from state-of-the-art CNC machines, accurate to within a few microns through to the hand-selected capacitors utilised in our leviathan power suppliers.
Each and every component has to pass rigorous inspection before being assembled and tested. Manufacturing tolerances are so tight that all parts are interchangeable with other units, unlike other companies that have to match parts, AVID manufacturing consistency produces perfection in both performance and reliability.

AVID HIFI started more than two decades ago with the drive and passion of its founder Conrad Mas, to design without exception the best turntable in the world. The renowned Acutus turntable is still in production almost unchanged, a testament to getting perfect design from the outset. Today, the company is a team of people whose ethos is dedicated to designing the best analogue products from record players to amplifiers and loudspeakers. From its facilities near Huntingdon in England everything is manufactured in-house. Every circuit board is hand assembled, metalwork precision made on our CNC machines and everything is built and tested to give a lifetime of enjoyment.
