The EX Series is tuned to reproduce sound quality with balance mid and smooth extension in both ends, high and low extension. True Class-A biased, fully discrete input and output stages are the heart of the EX-P7. Rich in tonal quality, details, and high resolution. Silky smooth volume control thanks to the discrete R2R volume control, of which known for its precise and accurate volume adjustment with precision matched resistors. R2R VOL CONTROL Most preamps use a potentiometer for volume control. EX-P7 uses an advanced microprocessor-controlled, relay-based R2R steps attenuator. Ultra-precise 256 steps linear volume control allow you to fine adjust the volume for late-night-listening. COST-NO-OBJECT The EX-P7 uses extremely high cost 0.2µm gold-plated printed circuit board (PCB). From the perspective of PCBs, it is clear that the designer is well aware of the limitations on the fine contact area of the general circuit board, specifically increasing the soldered area at each solder joint and adding as much shielding as possible GOODBYE NOISE, WELCOME DARKNESS The two UK-made AMPLIMO transformers are installed in the CNC-machined aluminum encapsulation, and the entire chassis is made of 8-10mm thick of anodized aluminum block, effectively eliminate the nasty EMI/EMC induced from the surrounding equipment. SOUND CHARACTERISTIC Neutrality and musicality were the goals to achieve. Rich tonal quality, vivid sound imaging, details, high resolution and dynamic. The choice of the components, design, and tuning does just that. It is the Kinki Studio gears' sound signature. It uses two UK made AMPLIMO transformers, one each for Left and Right channel power supplies, so that the power does not interfere with each other to improve the channel separation. EX-P7 is essential dual mono design in the same chassis. EX Series P7 - Summarized: * Box of solid aluminum * Dual-mono design * R2R volume control * Inputs: RCA x 2, XLR x 1 * Outputs: RCA x 2, XLR x 1 Included in package: * Remote * Power cord (cheap model) - recommended to be replaced "The reason why—in a far more populous audiophile world—Kinki Studio's EX-P7 would be a disruptor is that it embodies a very modern Nagra-esque aesthetic at somewhat lower potency for a fraction of the Swiss sticker which only sacrifices extreme magnification power in trade. To move past it comes at disproportionate expense." 6Moons (October, 2018)

The Kinki Studio - EX-M1+ - the good of the X-M1 preserved

The EX-M1+ is designed based on the award-winning EX-M1. The good of the EX-M1 is well-preserved. Advanced microprocessor-controlled, MUSE volume control, dual 400VA encapsulated transformers, quasi monoblocks amplifier stage with EXICON MOSFET lateral, known for its ultra-fast and dynamic sonic response where the EX-M1+ benefited with. PREAMP OUT · HT BYPASS EX-M1+ is equipped with the most anticipated features - Preamp Output and HT Bypass. We did it differently though. The Preamp Output can be enabled/disabled by the completely redesigned Remote Control Unit. It allows the EX-M1+ to be used as a preamp only, or integrated amp where the preamp output can be connected to the subwoofer or to our monoblocks EX-B7 to biamp the loudspeakers. The same goes to HT Bypass Input. A single press on the Remote Control Unit button enables the HT Bypass Input. The preamp stage is bypassed, EX-M1+ functions as a power amp. POWER STAGE The power amplification circuitry are mounted directly on a large customs made, gold anodized heat sink. The power stage equipped with two pairs of power EXICON MOSFETs, driven in Class AB. Two identical power stage modules are arranged on the left and right sides of the chassis, deliver impeccable power for the two channels: 215 watts into 8 ohms, 400 watts into 4 ohms. High damping factor High damping factor unleashes the full potential of the sonic performance of the loudspeakers. EX-M1+ employes high power rail supplies, delivering fast and high recovery DC supply to the power stage. The ultra high slew rate and DC-coupled (no capacitors in the signal path), yielded exceptionally acoustic excellent - neutral, transparency, details, dynamic and ultra fast transient response. WHAT'S MORE? The display can now be dimmed, turned off completely. We have also improved the internal wiring with pure OCC copper and overly well-made gold plated high current connector for the line stage input signal and transformer primary stage. SOUND CHARACTERISTIC Neutrality and musicality were the goals to achieve. Rich tonal quality, vivid sound imaging, details, high resolution and dynamic. The choice of the components, design, and tuning does just that. It is the Kinki Studio gears' sound signature. Specification Parameters * Frequency Response: 10-150kHz (±3dB) * THDN: 0.0232%; 0.006% (A-Weighted) * S/N Ratio: >103dB * Output Power: 215W (8Ω), 400W (4Ω), Both channels driven * Damping Factor: 2000 * Gain: Normal Gain 26 dB * Max Output Voltage: 55VAC * AC Power: 110/240VAC, 50/60Hz (Factory configure) Input / Output * Input Sensitivity: 2.25Vrms - 3.6Vrms * Input Impedance: 50kΩ * Input Connector: RCA x 3, XLR x 1, HT BYPASS x 1 * Output: Speaker Binding Post 4mm L/R Channel * Output: Preamp Output x 1 Dimension & Weight * Dimensions (mm): 430W x 125H x 370D * Weight: 25KG Preamp Matching Our amplifiers are Direct-DC-Coupled without any capacitors in the signal path. This yields less colouration, high resolution, fast, and transparent sound quality. Should you wish to use other preamp make, please be informed that we do not recommend the use of tube-based preamp. You may experience slight pops/clicks noise to the loudspeakers, it's likely caused by the DC-offset in the preamp.
