Kinki Studio × Vinshine Audio Tai Hang Power Enhancer
The Tai Hang Power Enhancer is a premium-grade power conditioner developed in collaboration between Kinki Studio and Vinshine Audio. It is designed specifically for high-fidelity audio systems where clean and stable power is critical to performance.
Conventional AC power often carries unwanted electromagnetic interference (EMI), DC offset, and harmonic distortion. These factors can introduce noise, compress dynamics, and blur the spatial precision of music playback. The Tai Hang addresses these issues with a multi-stage filtering approach that removes EMI and DC components while ensuring unrestricted current delivery.
Key design principles include:
* Noise elimination without dynamic loss: Advanced EMI suppression and DC absorption circuits reduce interference while preserving speed and energy.
* Stable current delivery: The Symmetry Current Expansion Circuit provides high-speed, consistent current flow, supporting even the most demanding audio components.
* Mechanical integrity: Dual-layer chassis construction and vibration-isolating spike feet minimize mechanical resonance and maintain structural stability.
* Audiophile-grade wiring and components: Furutech UPOCC copper internal wiring and cryo-treated IEC sockets guarantee maximum conductivity and long-term reliability.
* The result is a darker background, improved separation of instruments, more precise imaging, and a cleaner, more natural presentation of music.
Taihang: Beyond the Measurements
Some may evaluate the Taihang using advanced audio analyzers and find that its measurements don’t necessarily align with traditional benchmarks. To some, Taihang’s measurements may appear unconventional or peculiar.
During the design phase, Vinshine collaborated closely with the Kinki Studio designer, and we both came to a clear understanding: if one were to rely solely on measurement data, the industrial-grade power conditioner would seem like the obvious choice—making a dedicated audio power conditioners appear unnecessary.
However, as the Kinki Studio designer rightly pointed out, the Power Enhancer needs of audio systems differ significantly from those of industrial applications. While industrial power conditioners approch may exhibit excellent specifications on paper, they often impart a clinical character to the sound and can degrade overall audio performance when used in high-fidelity setups.
Our goal with the Taihang was to strike a careful balance—removing harmful noise while preserving the musicality and sonic integrity of the system. That philosophy is what guided the creation of the Taihang.
